I cannot believe this!!!!! I was there in Spring 1996 also and done the Annapurna circuit and then returned in March 2010 for pretty much the same reasons!!!!!!! Since 1996 I had always wanted to return because it made such an impression on me, and managed to in 2010 but to be honest was sad for the same reasons and this guy. Huge inflation and social and infrastructural changes seem to have taken some of the magic, or maybe it was just me wanting to turn back the clock!

What can be done? Life is not standing still. Those who first went to Annapurna Circuit in 2011 in some fifteen years will tell their stories.
